  • Controlling the expense of purchases (particularly through total cost of ownership analysis)

Packaging / Quality

The Quality team's task is to ensure the quality of both our manufactured products and the raw materials that we purchase from our suppliers.

As an organization that truly spans the entire Group, it:

  • Defines, distributes, and drives the L’Oréal Group's Quality policy.
  • Measures quality levels, identifies potential improvements, and implements action plans, directly communicating with, among others, the Group's suppliers.

Packaging / Logistics

L’Oréal logistics is in charge of optimizing the flow of physical objects and information from the source to the consumer.

Its main tasks are:

  • Organizing the industrial response to commercial demand, for the purpose of handling deadlines, responsiveness, productivity, and service.
  • Optimally using production facilities and logistical means
  • Cutting time-to-market, costs, and stock

In order to fulfill these tasks, our logistics teams work hard to develop lasting, responsible partnerships with our suppliers.

Packaging / Technical Development

The Technical Development teams work alongside the Marketing teams in:

  • Defining products
  • Seeking out suppliers' standard products
  • Tracking projects from the initial marketing concepts to the sale stage.

All of this is done in accordance with the profitability, deadline, and quality standards expected of the Group's brands.

They also handle the development of packaging decor and work with suppliers to do so, in order to:

  • Meet marketing goals for this field in an optimal and innovative fashion.
  • Ensure the handling of decor documents: approved prints, coloring, and permissible deviations.

Packaging / Packaging

L’Oréal has access to Packaging teams that, working directly with its suppliers, are tasked with designing and optimizing the packaging of our products, in accordance with quality, safety, and environmental rules.

The job of these technical teams is therefore:

  • To handle the design, optimization, specification, certification, and industrialization of our product packaging
  • To handle the research of innovating packaging concepts

L’Oréal also has access to a Packaging Research and Expertise Center (REPAC) which, besides supporting operational departments, is tasked with seeking out, assessing, and approving standard solutions offered by our suppliers. (distribution systems, applicators, new materials, etc.)
