L’Oréal Purchasing, working directly with its suppliers, is tasked with:

- Actively contributing to risk management (Quality, capacity, deadlines, etc.)

Raw Materials / Quality
As an organization that truly spans the entire Group, the Quality team:
- Defines, distributes, and drives the L’Oréal Group's Quality policy throughout the supply chain.
- Measures quality levels, identifies potential improvements, and implements action plans, directly communicating with, among others, the Group's suppliers.
Raw Materials / Logistics
L’Oréal logistics is in charge of optimizing the flow of physical objects and information from the source to the consumer.
Its main tasks are:
- Organizing the industrial response to commercial demand, for the purpose of handling deadlines, responsiveness, productivity, and service.
- Optimally using production facilities and logistical means
- Cutting time-to-market, costs, and stock
In order to fulfill these tasks, our logistics teams work hard to develop lasting, responsible partnerships with our suppliers.
Raw Materials / Research
L’Oréal Research is tasked with:
- Developing hair and skin knowledge, and discovering new concepts
- Designing active ingredients and developing safety and efficiency assessment methods.
- Conceiving and creating high-performance cosmetics
In support of development, the Raw Materials department of Research ensures:
- Detects innovative raw materials
- Consolidates toxicological and environmental files
- Approves of new raw materials
